Greetings!
I will be heading back to Chenjiagou, the birthplace of Taijiquan, soon. The Village like the rest of China is changing very quickly and I suspect even since March of this year when I was there last, there will be palpable shifts. Many plans have already been completed and more and more are underway. I hear some of the new buildings are in the ground and the Taiji Park is finished. I look forward to sharing my experiences with you.
This year I am going off season so the Village will be quieter than in times past. I am also looking forward to the green and abundant food of late fall! I will be travelling solo from Seattle to the Village and meeting with my good friends and amazing Taiji students and authors, Davidine Sim & David Gaffney. They are hosting an advanced training with a few of their students; I feel very fortunate to join them. We will be training with Chen Xiao Xing five hours a day for two weeks exclusively on the Laojia, the mother form, and the Sword. I look forward to sore thighs and new insights. As always I will stop in to my blog as often as I can and as often as I can get online to share my adventures with you! In the meantime you can enjoy some blogs from years past.
Salute!
Kim
